Egg Tarts + Pancakes

Two things I want to make and eat these days are: egg tarts and pancakes. There is a shop somewhere in this country Indonesia (I'm not sure where exactly) that sells delicious Portuguese Egg Tarts :D The shop is called Golden Egg somethings. I am not sure the difference between the portuguese one and the other one (because I'm not sure if I ever ate the normal one) but the portuguese one was delicious. It has caramel sweetness, egg custard softness, and maybe a little crunch of the pastry. Pancake? I just wanted it from seeing McDonald's breakfast ad :P
For those interested in trying as well, here are some recipes: (get the instructions in the respective websites)

Ingredients for Crust:

340g Top Flour

INACRAFT 2011 (Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair)

HEY ALL! I went to INACRAFT 2011 (Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair)!
I went there in 2 consecutive days and hauled the randomest things. Rose clay pins, muffin tray, batik shoes, batik (ish) necklace, batik hairband, batik hair clip, rose-shaped silk cocoon (pupa) hair clip, a book on paper lanterns, 2 batik kangaroos key chain, a pin of a couple with traditional clothings, a card with random traditional dance on it, a magnet on a iconic (I thing) Indonesian product INDOMIE! For some reason they are all little trinkets (except for ONE pair of shoes).
Also, 2 days is not enough apparently. Just on my way out, I saw the cutest bags and notebooks. Wish I had more time. :"(
      Anyway, enjoy some pictures:

      Most importantly :D

      Paper Bracelet (from Hermès)

      Hermes' paper bracelet
I'm so excited >< I've been wanting to make paper accessory for so long and I finally found a simple one :D
This one is from the Hermès website. The website has the pdf file of the template and instructions for 6 colors. Visit the website, then click ‘travel the world of Hermès‘. A new window will open, there try finding the bracelet image (like the one on the left) or use the navigation bar at the left and choose 'surprises'. At the page with the bracelet, choose which of the different colors you want to make and click ‘I want it‘. This will take you to the PDF file of the template and instructions that you can print and make :D

      Origami Heart

      Using the methods from http://www.origami-fun.com/origami-heart.html

Of course there are other methods to fold origami heart, like ones with pockets, heart in a heart, 3d heart, etc. But this was the first thing I clicked on through google. Maybe I'll try out the other styles and blog about them.

This is my most containing picture post. Uploading 43 images were a drag. Especially with my internet -__-

Koihime (The princess addicted to bags) + lost all my great links

So, my laptop somehow suddenly went Bla. And now cannot be turned on. I don't know Why or How it happened, but that's what happened. So that means a limitless possibility of lost data, lost pictures, lost of all the great links I want to share to you guys. :'( Hopefully they can be restored or at least I can find the links again and the other data are somehow backed up through my 'emailing to myself' laziness of searching for the flashdisk.

So, here is a cute cubee from www.we-talk-about.com

Koihime (The princess addicted to bags)

Well, I can't read the website, but what I do know is they have more of that cute stuff here.

      Straw Wrapper Rose

People always leave the top half (or top third or even just a tin piece) of their straw wrapper on the straw to keep the section where you sip from clean. But you know, a rectangular piece of paper on the straw is boring. Here is one you can do to really impress your guests (or families or even yourself):

The guy actually recieved it in an actual store. Cool. I wanna go to that store..
There is also a How-to Video in the link above actually, if you want to make your own.

      Discovered through http://www.hellolovelies.com/

      Paper Calender 2011

      HAPPY NEW MONTH!
So before the year went by too fast, here are 3 amazing paper calender I found!
Print them and hang them on the ceiling, or put them on the dresser/wardrobe. Or just put it in our wallet. Anywhere. Make them! Really! They are beyond awesome! Maybe I'll make one of my own for next year :P

      PAPER ACCORDION CALENDER from http://www.paperfoldables.com/
So cute right?? I want to make one but I don't have any colored printer in my house. :( I especially like it's vintage look. Also check out his other cubees. I also like his insertable ones, like the fisher one, where you can put pennies in both the fish and the bag. There are also Cubee for piggy (human) bank.
The printable PDF file for the paper accordion can be found here.

PAPER TOY POP-UP CALENDER from http://clovered.net/blog/
I also like her other creations, they're all so cute :3 You can also find her in DeviantArt. Her arts are GORGEOUS!
The printable file is not available right now because his work is being sold by some people. So go support him! (somehow) Try to contact her if you want to make one, or be inspired, make one of your own with the tutorial she has in here.

      PAPER CALENDER GIRLFRIEND from http://www.3eyedbear.com/
Finally! A pocket-sized girlfriend(s) who doesn't talk much. And also tells you the date all around the year.
This is one I have made of my own. I borrowed my friend's printer for this, so I didn't want to ask again for the paper accordion (I found this first). It's definitively cute to be put on drawers or desks. 3eyedbear's other cubees are also amazing too. And somewhat complex (and not all human compared to paperfoldables)
Printable here, or here (same thing).

Pictures except for the Girlfriend one are from their respective websites (the Girlfriend one uses photos of the one I made)
