After long gone, I want to talk about something I already tweeted before: GIFT WRAPS!
Gift wrap is a necessary tool in life!
Okay, that was too exagerated, but it's true to a certain degree. Unwrapped gifts are.. just an item. It's not special enough without those pretty coverings and decorations.
You can also put our special touch on our giftwraps. Maybe make a collage and print it on a paper enough to wrap the gifts or we can do it old-school. Buy a big solid coloured paper (or if you're feeling green just use old newspapers or similar items)and decorate it using markers, crayongs, paints, anything practically. Stamping would give a similar effect of repetitive pattern that pre-made giftwraps have. We can stamp with our (or our loved ones') hands and feets for starters. Or maybe you have a stamp at home you would like to use. A wonderfully easy way to make your own is by using potatoes: cut and shape one side and use paints as ink and start stamping.
But you don't have to make your own for these crafts, you can also use the usual gift wraps, especially if you have a lot leftovers. A big especially if your leftover giftwraps are those marketed for a special date. You would probably not use a gift wrap saying "Happy New Year" on any other date than New Year, right? Well, if you don't have a huge leftover pile then you were wise enough to not pick "certain date" oriented gift wraps. But sometimes we just forgot because of the euphoria (or because the stores only sold those ones). So, to solve your problem of too many leftover giftwraps hanging around as well as to channel that pent up gift wrap craftiness, I present to you:

She made them using her children's drawings. Such artistic talents.
I realize they're not giftwraps, but they can also be made using gift wraps :D The colourful dots and the pink one below XOXO came close to gift wraps :P
Just like the previous one, except this one is cut
The crafts for gift wraps are not limited to these of course, you can make origami-s using them, paper quiling, bookmarks, tags, or even used in you scrapbooks. There is an endless list of what to make! Especially if you made your own gift wrap, it will be one of a kind!
